Ooookay. Now, I am no longer getting the boot options upon startup.

After installing Linux, I could press "l" to boot into linux, "m" to boot into Mac OS, etc.

What happened? How do I fix this?

Kaj, her basic problem is that she can't get into X. Someone gave her some
fixes to XF86Config-4 to try.
