The biggest issue around Unix was the forks that occured. One Unix couldn't play nicely with another or at all. Then there's SCO which plays with no one but MacDonald's POS terminals and, in thier spare time, sues everyone in sight. As much as anything that, along with Novell's failure of nerve and forsight, is what opened the door for MS in server space. What I'm seriously hoping and praying is that Linux won't fork. That the LSB will be respected. Only then can it avoid the bull-in-a-china-shop bully from Redmond and continue it's success. I suspect as long as Linus is in charge it will stay unified and there will be no forking. ttfn John
