Can't answer specifically about the C84, but if it helps I'm using the
C82 model and it works great.  Great print quality using CUPS &
Gimp-Print and with mtink I'm able to see the ink levels.  Maybe
trivial, but I like it ;-)
 

Yes so they tell me, but the C82 ain't much available in UK any more, 
and the C84 is, so I'm wondering if they are the same and would work 
with the same driver.
Anyway I just thought I would ask.
