I have found the easiest way is to use LinNeighborhood to mount the shares and browse them that way. In LinNeighborhood right click on the workgroup of your windows box and choose "scan group as user." Hope that helps. I used to use komba as well and had to do basically the same thing. You may need to check your user/password permissions and make sure they match between boxen.
