The installation fiasco continues ...
Last night I thought I would put RealPlayer 8 on my recently installed 9.2. However, having done so, when I started it up, I got mostly black space where the program should be and I had to kill it to get rid of it.
There are no error messages when I start it from the command line (whether as graham or as root), so I don't know what's causing it. Tried downloading a new .rpm from Real but the result was the same.
I know it's not a unique problem because I found some discussion of it in another forum but no-one had come up with an answer. Have any of you guys come across this problem and if so how did you fix it.
Life without BBC playback is inconceivable. I could be going back to 9.0 if this can't be fixed. Is it me, or is MDK 9.2 more buggy than previous versions?
