Ya, I did some quick checking, and none of the D-Link or Linksys or SMC
appliances support dialup. Weird.

Here we go again, but if he needs to get a standalone box to implement a
firewall, he might as well go with one of the floppy-based or cdrom-based
firewall sol'ns, which are free, and *do* support dialup connections.
