It's more an ugly hack than an elegant solution, but it works. After
some fumbling, I found that appending "-lgdk_pixbuf_xlib" to the end of
the line "LDFLAGS = -L${exec_prefix}/lib" in
/usr/local/src/xscreensaver-4.14/driver/Makefile does the trick. It
makes just fine now.What gave me the clue I needed was section 17.4.5 (6) of the Mandrake Linux Reference Manual, which also taught me something about unresolved symbols.
