Erm... When I said had you run the drakconnect wizard I meant had you gone 
into Mandrake ControlCentre>Networking>Drakconnect  and pressed the 'Wizard' 
button.  It will auto detect your network interfaces and walk you through 
their configuration.
The wizard will write the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 that 
Adolfo has asked you about.
