By default, webmin runs it's own webserver totally indendent of apache. Just "service webmin start" and it sits around like any other daemon listening on port 10000 for web page requests. Biggest advantage I can think of is you're going to have a hard time tweaking (and restarting) your apache server using webmin if webmin needs apache running to work.
