Also, once you get the mail server up, you might want to run a quick test to check for open relays. From the machine telnet to relay-test.mail-abuse.org You will see a long dialog where mail-abuse tries to relay mail through your server with successive attempts to spoof a connection to trick the mail server into relaying. If you pass, this doesn't meant that your mail server can't be used as a relay but it does mean that the most obvious tricks have been tried and failed. -- Bryan Phinney Software Test Engineer
