That sounds good. You need to create a directory under /mnt, say /mnt/reader. Then as root you need to mount it mount /dev/sda /mnt/reader The only problem is that you will be accessing your pictures as root. You will need to put them somewhere that you have access to - say a subdirectory under your /home, then, still as root, change the owner to yourself. All your accessing is done via konqueror (assuming you use kde), and you simply copy the files into your subdirectory.
