/home/<user name>/.kde/share/icons/<theme>/<size>/apps/kmenu.png
I did this and it works. I changed mine, but the rest are still the default. Notice also that "/.kde" is a hidden directory.
This is suppose to change it globally:
/opt/kde3/share/icons/<theme>/<size>/apps/kmenu.png and go.png
