0x7E or 126 in decimal is the ASCII code of tilde symbol. In urls a few special characters (most notably the space within a filename) get automatically converted, but you can also represent the entire url in encoded form: http://users.ids.net/%7E%62%6f%62%72%65%61%64/%63%6f%74%6d%2e%68%74%6d Aavo
