I have given you a bum steer here. I don't actually use KWord, so hope you will forgive me. Working with normal spell check in KWord, the dictionary comes up with suggestions through Aspell, but I just tried with autodetect, and it certainly comes up with marking the word, but the minute I left click on the error, the desktop freezes and I have to Ctrl + Alt to get it to unfreeze. In actual fact Ctrl + Alt will then bring up the dictionary. Hang on. Right clicking on the misspelled word brings up a menu, then left clicking on <Check this word's spelling> does nothing but directly after pressing Ctrl + Alt brings up the dictionary just for that word alone. But it doesn't move on to the next. This also works by mouse wheel clicking on the misspelled word, the Ctrl + Alt. So KWord here will only work on the manual spell check. Sorry about that. I thought that because it marked the word as misspelled it would also correct it as normal.
