Make sure cpufreqd is installed and running and then insert the speedstep 
module with 'modprobe speedstep-centrino' then all should work. To make 
speedstep-centrino load at every boot, add an entry for it into 
your /etc/modprobe.preload file

Also, please remove your reply-to in your mail settings.  Since it is the same 
as the from address, it is redundant and it screws up the addressing when one 
tries to reply to one of your posts by making the reply go to you instead of 
the list.
