improvement over 9.1 in many ways there were things that I didn't find user friendly. Some of the repetitive problems/posts on this and other lists are evidence of that IMHO.
I have found that mandrake 9.2 makes a very effective and stable web server:
02:31:41 up 133 days, 16 min, 3 users, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00
The load averages are all 0.00, even though it hosts 14 domain names, most of which have dynamically generated perl or php on them.
(one of the sites is very popular).
Its also running MySQL and some other stuff.. and the server is only a XP 2000+ with 512mb ram.
I have been totally happy with advx apache and mdk9.2, I really hope mandrake never remove the "server" side of linux in their desire to create the perfect desktop..
I think that having advx show up in the web server stats is great puplicity for mandrake, which is one of the reasons I have been using it instead of compiling apache from scratch.
I am trialing mdk10 now, if it works as well as 9.2 for server stuff, I will be moving my mail main mail server over to it once the stable version of 10 comes out.
just my thoughts...
