This may sound elementary but, are you running a firewall package like guarddog? Have you closed off port 443 for outgoing traffic? SSL runs on 443 and if that port is closed, you would still be able to browse the web on port 80 using HTTP, but HTTPS would fail because of 443 being closed. -- Bryan Phinney Software Test Engineer
