Hi. Have you tried googling for "linux wireless howto" or something like that? 
I picked up lots of useful info when I was trying to get a Dlink DWL 650 
working (never did, BTW, finally switched to a Zyair B100 and it was almost 
automatic).

Just out of curiosity (can't help myself), is the card being recognized? Do 
you get a beep (power light on) and a few seconds later a 2nd beep (card and 
network finding each other). How about under MCC and the KDE control center, 
does the card show up? What does ifconfig show? Have you looked at 
/etc/modules.conf to see if things are being loaded?

Just some thoughts...
