Thanks everyone for the quick response. I installed Mandrake Community 10 because I wanted to see what the new kernel looked like. However I'm having some other problems that I never had with previous versions of Mandrake.
After reading a few posts in the archive, I get the feeling that Mandrake 9.2 might better serve my needs as far as my camera and few other projects I have in the works right now. So looks like I'm gonna back up a few yards, and install Mandrake 9.2.
