Yeah, it was.. but I think from memory that that was more about home users...
Redhat, novel, IBM and co are all going after the enterprise desktop... mostly places where the user in question only needs email, web, basic office stuff etc... and a sysadmin loads it all on for them..


In that market, Linux is already competitive because MS's preloading and stuff doesn't really come into it.,
