They should run fine. It is detected as scsi device, and the burner love that 
(and just that!). Try k3bsetup.

Usb looks good. I was just concerned with the transfer rates, is USB better 
that parallel cable?

OK. It worked.

Now I run k3bsetup as root, and both are showing up (local cdrom and usb 
backpack).

The installation is not really clear. Would have been nice if Mandrake include 
that rpm in the club mirrors at least.
