You can chown the device for the drive. But this is mainly usefully for removable drives. For mounted file systems, you have to change the options in /etc/fstab to change the owner. This is usefully for file systems that do not support file ownership.

One thing to be aware of - msec will change back the ownership of some files/directories, depending on the security settings.
