I logged out, did a startx, and halfway through kde login it
crashed. However, startx gnome put me in IceWM and that's when I
changed the settings back to where they were before I started in
mcc.

Maybe I should have trashed my .kde directory before I left?

mcc also remarked out my aeis.tv servername setting in httpd2.conf.
This is an assumption because it was working before I changed with
mcc and wasn't even after I changed back to localhost.

Of course, in the middle of this my isp changed my ip, adding to the
confusion.

Well all is working now, and I still want to change my hostname, so
here I go again..........
