Hello,
you mean you have gcc installed and vmware is unable to use it for vmon compilation? Can you invoke gcc by entering gcc in console? Did you install gcc from rpm ore compile it from sources? Check the way you installed gcc. Probably vmware installer have problems with gcc recognition.
