/usr/bin/X11/xvidtune This will allow you to "stretch" the screen; BUT, mind you, you MUST make sure that you've chosen the right monitor in MCC => Hardware => Monitor prior to playing with it - along with making sure you've chosen the correct video card (and, of course the proper resolution).
