Connection refused
Kindly please how can this be fixed in mdk 10.0

Dumb question - did you enable the ssh server and start it after 
installing it?
What does "service sshd status" return?  If it says "sshd is stopped", 
check the configuration to make sure it is what you want, and run:

service sshd start
chkconfig --add sshd
