I would suggest reading through the actual full headers and email source in order to properly identify where the emails are coming from. You'd be very surprised at the amount of information that is contained in the headers as well as the full email source as well. If you're grabbing mail with getmail or fetchmail, you can take steps using procmail, spamassassin and even MailScanner to kill most crap mail.
