If I understand your problem correctly , you want to
change premissions for the mount point ,  Try    chmod
666 /mnt/removable
<, one thing to consider this gives everyone
premission to unmount the drive .
If I am mistaken in this I am sure that others will
correct me and the fix is very easy .
