How do I enable 'X Forwarding'? As far as I understand this feature it is possible to get a working X-environment on a remote box although I am working via CLI? So in theory it is possible to open - lets say - a terminal on my local box, the run the command ssh -X nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn to the remote box and the I can use on my own box the GUI? I just tried it but it didn't work at all :-( Or do I have to work on my local box with an active X-Session? > Important point - you don't startx, you just ssh to it, then run the X > application from the command line. e.g. > > ssh -l brian remote-box-with-X-installed > mozilla Also tried this one without success... -- (o> Best regards //\ Harald T ZIPKO V_/_ please no html - mails --
