I am trying to wean a friend off Windows and on to Mandrake, so I have sent him a set of Mandrake CDs to install. He was supposed to install it on its own hard drive, but has changed his mind and wants it on the same drive as WindowsXP.
I have received an e-mail from him saying that when he tries to install Mandrake, he gets a message saying to do a reboot and Mandrake will be loaded. This he does and then XP is started. He can get no further. Has anyone any suggestions I can pass on to him, please -apart from telling him not to dual boot? I have no first-hand experience of WindowsXP or dual-booting, so don't know what to suggest. If any further information is needed, I will ask him for it. Many thanks Keith
