Then, if it's listed as "OK" please come back and ask us
again. At this point, I'm still saying EVERY *PCI* modem is
a WinModem (I know...there are a couple exceptions to the
rule, but I'm just using the old "rule of thumb.")

Even if your modem is NOT listed, it does not mean it's not
a WinModem. Does the box state "Works in Windows 95 & 98"?
Or does it say something more like "works in DOS and
Windows" ???
