Just want to let you know that Mandrake just added a lot of updated
packages for 10.1 Official. After installing those my Olympus
C740UZ (with a xD card) works just like it did in 10.0 : perfectly.
When plugging in the camera, an icon pops up (in KDE) with a label
showing the correct model. Works just like any other mass storage
device.
Funny thing is, gtkam pops up as well but doesn't recognize the
camera, - neither does digikam. Never mind.
Downside is, even after unmounting the camera, my USB scanner isn't
recognized any more. Only a full reboot gets it back.
But at least the CPU doesn't go bezerk anymore......
