G'day John, check these out: http://jabref.sourceforge.net/ http://bibkeeper.sourceforge.net/ http://jbibtexmanager.sourceforge.net/ http://bibliographic.openoffice.org/developer.html For the first 3 links, you would have to be using a real text formatting application with a real text editor (emacs with latex & bibtex), and although word seems to be the go in the corporate world, most scientific journals accept tex format articles, simply as M$ office can't handle higher level natural scientific terms and equations. The last link is a try at merging the bibtex scientific reference system into openoffice. Don't know how usable it is though. cheers Andras -- Mandrake Linux 10.0 Official Clevo D430S
