Can you confirm your Ethernet is set to DHCP? Can you confirm it has an IP address? What is it? (It should be on the 10.0.0.x subnet) (MandrakeControl Centre>Network>ManageConnections) In the 'Options' Tab make sure the 'start at boot' box is ticked. If that box was not ticked you can go to MandrakeControlCentre>System>Services to start networking without having to reboot. If there is no IP address can you confirm that the cabling is OK? There is probably a little light on your computer's Ethernet connector. It should light when the cable is correctly inserted. There is probably a similar light on your router. Also check your Routers configuration to make sure the Ethernet ports are not disabled. When accessing the router use the mozilla(or firefox) browser. Sometimes these embedded devices do not like non MicroSoft browsers. Mozilla tends to do best in those cases. derek -- www.jennings.homelinux.net http://twiki.mdklinuxfaq.org
