I wouldn't say it was impossible to keep a Windows machine secure.  Behind a 
good firewall and then disconnect the keyboard, remove the CDROM and Floppy 
and allow no software to be installed and use no software on the machine and 
you can probably set a record for NOT getting pwned, at least on a Win 
machine.

Now, if you actually use the machine, I would make no bets at all.
