Interesting. I didn't have a previous nvidia driver installed (between my 
first and second attempts, I repartitioned my drive and reinstalled). I 
suspect it has to do with the video card being used. I'm using a Riva TNT2 
64, with 32MB RAM.

This being an older graphics card, I wouldn't be surprised if it gets the 
short end of the stick when it comes to support from Nvidia. I wouldn't dream 
of trying to run UT2003 on it. I'm not a serious gamer anyway, just need the 
occasional diversion :^).

I'm running Mdk 10.1 Official Download edition, updated just before I 
installed the nvidia driver, and running the 2.6.8.1-12mdk kernel, in case 
any of this comes into play.
