Thankyou for your suggestions John, Anne and Ed.

I do know that as he is a sole trader, a payroll feature is not required.
However his computer skills are quite limited, and he is old so he doesnt (or
'can't' to use his own words) learn a new system. He had to be taught to use
Quickbooks.

I will try using crossover office as Ed suggested. I will also demo Quasar and
Cubit Accounting to him and see what he thinks. His system is crippled with
what can only be a trojan or a virus I suppose. He has a firewall and Norton
Antivirus and something still keeps messing with his internet connection so
he is understandably quite frustrated.

I hope to provide him with a linux alternative which he will find easier to
use and perhaps tell his friends to try.

Thankyou all again,

JR
