Not really. Is the 3000f very new? If so, it can take a while for drivers to appear. Remember that Canon refuse to help us, so it has to be done the painful way. And if, like mine, you are talking about a model that is simply not mass-market enough you have to hope that an enthusiast somewhere is a damned good hacker and scripter and willing to share.
