I did point out that there are proprietary ATI drivers for Radeon cards that will not be present in **any** kernel you obtain from Mandrake or kernel.org You can apply the ATI drivers to your current kernel by getting the drivers from ATI directly, but to make things easier Mandrake have already compiled drivers and make them available through Mandrake Club.
