It *should* receive a new address in a short time anyhow, as soon as you plug it
into  a network with a server broadcasting DHCP. However, this would just give
it a kickstart, as soon as the network device comes 'up' it will receive the
DHCP broadcast and say 'ya, I need an address and gateway and all that'. IIANM.
