[newbie] ACPI, POWER DOWN not working

Hello,
Since 2 month I use a new laptop Acer Aspire 1680 with MDK 10.1 community on it. Since the first installation I have no automatic POWER DOWN and I had to turn of ACPI because when I rebooted the computer I got a black screen with no access to the keyboard.
I had no problem with MDK 9.2. Do I have to install an other kernel?
