The problem is that you don't have a "real" modem, and so you will need Linux drivers for it.

another problem is with screen resolution while
running setup of mandrake i choosen 800*600 pixel
resolution now i can t change it to 1024*768 even
having 17" moniter in screen resolution configuration
linux is showing only two option for changing
resolution 800*600 n even lower resolution from it
like 640*400 plz tell me how to change it to 1024*768



Try changing to a command line login, (Ctrl-Alt-F1), logging in as root, and running drakxconfig.
