No, it just made them wish they were dead! 8^}

Vi is one of those necessary evils, because sometimes when your system is 
really messed up, it's one the few things that will still work, and that can 
save you. But I would never use it when something more sane was available.

Forget to hit "i" and all your typing gets executed as commands. If you're a 
touch typist, you look back to the screen and your whole file is trashed. 
Nothing to do but ":q!" and start over. Forget to hit <esc> after inserting 
and all your commands are embedded in your file instead of being executed. 
Oh, and don't forget, if you're at the end of a line, you have to use "a" 
instead of "i". I could go on and on.
