Reinstalling Mandrake should be a last resort. It isn't something you should have to resort to. Knowing what you did before you had the problem is always a good place to start... I have also posted to a local user group, and if I cannot get it going myself have the option of trying to get to one of their meetings, and they will help me there. The nearest group is over an hour away though - why I don't go to the meetings. Rosemary
