Have an ISA SoundBlaster CT4180 card. It has the
Vibra 16 chip.

Works under Windows2000. However, the install of
Mandrake 10.0 does not detect nor does the card show
up in HardDrake.

According to opensource.creative.com/soundcard.html,
all Creative ISA sound cards are supported in the
Linux kernel, and most also by ALSA. They add though
that one may need to run a sound card detection
program to find it.

I have not found a sound detection program for
Mandrake. Where could I go from here?

Much thanks in advance,
Werner

I used to use sndconfig with my ISA sound cards. I'm not sure it's still included in Mandrake, but you can find an RPM out there for it with google.
