[newbie] Installing Linux using a Parallel port CDRom Drive

Greetings:
I am attempting to install Mandrake 6.1 on a Gateway laptop computer
that does not have a CDRom drive.  Is there a way that I can use my
Kingston parallel port CDRom?  If not, what are my alternatives?
