You have several choices here.

* Webmin - uses a web browser to administer the box

* VNC - You can have an X session running on the server that you can
access from a client machine (no matter what OS the client is)

* SSH - Tunnel into the machine and perform your duties.

I personally prefer to use Webmin and VNC to administer several boxes
here - not that they don't have un-supported video cards, but because of
the lack of monitors and keyboard (and space). Works like a champ. As
well, with doing updates/upgrades, SSH does just nicely.
