Backround,

I've got vanilla Mandrake-Linux 6.1 installed.

I am currently working on getting Linux to talk to my
ISP. I've got my modem properly configured, but I've
had trouble with kppp actually connecting to my ISP.
Neither CHAP or PAP work. I tried the terminal type
login and after inputting my login/password, nothing
happens for a while until pppd just sort of dies off.

>From a friend who uses Caldera's OpenLinux I've heard
that kppp is the pits. Does anyone second this
opinion?

What dialers for Linux have people on this list found
to be both easy to configure and reliable?

Thanks.
