John....ok, I changed my three languages from default to American
English. I restarted X and I still get the error message. So, in the
spirit of trying everything before saying something didn't work, I'll
now reboot the system.....and now that I'm back I'll bring up 'Icon
Editor' which is the program that always gives me the KCharset error
message....and...rats!! It still gives me the error message!
