Thanks for the response, Josh.   I appreciate any info.   Looks like I'm
going to be doing a lot of reading up.  (I have a tendency to _not_ rtfm
first and just let it rip) I don't think I'm going to be able to blunder my
way through this for a while yet.
I am still not able to get Netscape installed, although the  lib's are both
on the system.
Other problem I get is that I don't "have permission"  to run commands.
Seems to me if I am logged in as root , I should not be excluded to any
dir's?   or am I missing something else?
